
The visit of the Azerbaijani delegation led by economic development minister Shahin Mustafayev to China is continuing.
The delegation includes deputy foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov, economic development minister of Nakhchivan Famil Seyidov, officials of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), Azerbaijan Investment Company, as well as businessmen.
On June 12 the delegation met Chinese minister of commerce Chen Deming.
The sides noted that relations between Azerbaijan and China had developed in various spheres since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. They also exchanged views on expansion of Azerbaijan-China economic cooperation.
During the meeting a Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between Azerbaijan`s Economic Development Ministry and Chinese Ministry of Commerce. They also signed a protocol on establishment of working group on trade and economic cooperation between the Economic Development Ministry of Azerbaijan and government of China`s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
AZPROMO and Eurasian Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation signed Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. The Azerbaijani delegation also met deputy minister of commerce, co-chair of Azerbaijan-China intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation Zhong Shan.
The same say an Azerbaijan-China business forum was held in Beijing. The forum, brought together more than 100 businessmen was addressed by Azerbaijani economic development minister Shahin Mustafayev and deputy minister of commerce Zhong Shan.
As part of the event the two countries` businessmen met to discuss cooperation-related issues.
