
Azerbaijan`s Deputy Economic Development Minister Niyazi Safarov yesterday met vice-governor of Russia`s Kurgan Oblast Vasily Zharov to discuss prospects for developing the two countries` cooperation.
The Azerbaijan-Russia working meeting was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and supported by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
Addressing the event, Safarov highlighted Azerbaijan`s socio-economic achievements. He said there were good opportunities for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kurgan Oblast.
He stressed the importance of holding business forums and working meetings in terms of boosting the bilateral relations. Zharov noted the Kurgan Oblast was interested in expanding the relations with Azerbaijan.
He spoke of the Oblast`s investment potential. AZPROMO President Adil Mammadov made a presentation on Azerbaijan`s business and investment environment.
The meeting also featured the presentation on Russian companies` activity and use of state-of-the-art technologies. The meeting was attended by representatives from the engineering industry, healthcare, construction, financial and logistics companies.
