Azerbaijan,UAE have great prospects to develop ties

There are great prospects to develop the relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economic Development Niyazi Safarov said at a meeting with the UAE delegation led by Director-General of Dubai Ruler's Court, Chairman of Dubai Islamic Bank, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani today.

"The relations between the two countries have great potential," Safarov said. "It is necessary to develop cooperation."

Several investment projects in Azerbaijan were presented at the event. The projects, in particular, the Baku White City project, aroused the Dubai delegation's great interest.

Earlier, the delegation was received by Minister Shahin Mustafayev on Thursday. Several meetings are planned to be held within the visit.

Architectural Baku White City project claiming to become new modern center of Baku is being implemented under the decree of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on 'Plan of complex measures on improving ecological situation in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2006-2010'.

Azerbaijani specialists as well as such famous companies as "Atkins", "Foster + ?artners" (UK) and "F+A Architects" (U.S.) participate in the implementation of the Baku White City project.
