Azerbaijan, Turkey can accelerate work on joint development of agriculture

Azerbaijan and Turkey can accelerate work on the joint development of agriculture, Deputy Agriculture Minister of Turkey Vedat Mirmahmutogullar? told journalists in Baku on Thursday.

"Relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are constantly developing, and we are aware of very good quality of fruit and vegetable production in Azerbaijan. The need for Azerbaijan's fruits and vegetables will increase in the world in the future," Mirmahmutogullar? said.

He also said that he believes in the future of agriculture in Azerbaijan, as it is a priority sphere after oil and gas industry of the country, and there will be a great potential for Azerbaijan's fruits and vegetables export to Turkey in the future.

Mirmahmutogullar? is attending the 29th European Regional Conference of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the 37th session of the European Commission on Agriculture in Baku.
