IMF to assess Azerbaijan`s financial sector

A special mission of the International Monetary Fund will visit Azerbaijan in April, Nadim Ilahi, the IMF country head for Azerbaijan said.

According to him, Azerbaijan`s official bodies sent a request to renew the assessment of the country`s financial sector by Financial Sector Assessment Program to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. He said the process of preparation to the second evaluation of Azerbaijan`s financial sector is to start early this year.
