Azerbaijan cuts unemployment rate

Unemployment rate reduced to 5.4% in Azerbaijan in 2011. The State Statistics Committee told APA-ECONOMICS that about 94 000 new jobs were created in Azerbaijan in 2011 and 72.7 thousands of them were permanent jobs. “This and other factors caused reduction of unemployment by 0.5% to 5.4%”, said the Committee officials.
