TASIM consortium to be established soon

An intensive work is being conducted toward the establishment of the Trans Eurasian Information Superhighway (TASIM) consortium, Communication and IT Minister Ali Abbaso  said. He said a series of meetings on this issue were held in Azerbaijan, Turkey and Hungary. “The last document is elaborated now and after that the consortium will be established”.

UN General Assembly adopted special resolution on TASIM project in its 64th session in 2009. The project will provide access to global network highways, short way of information flow between the West and East and facilitation of information technologies and resources. According to the UN General Assembly’s resolution A/RES/64/186 of December21, 2009, Azerbaijan was elected as the project coordinator.
