Some 185 projects on advanced technology use realised

The National Entrepreneurship Support Fund (NESF) under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry has invested 313.3 million manat to implement 185 projects based on use of advanced technology, Shirzad Abdullayev, CEO of the NESF said in his interview to the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan" website.

"Azerbaijan pays special attention to accelerating development of non-oil sector and financing favorable conditions projects based on introduction of new technologies. Primarily it envisages creating infrastructure objects in agricultural sphere, processing and production of import-substituting and export-oriented products with use of advanced technologies," he said.

48 percent of them, or 88 enterprises are commissioned, and the remaining 97 enterprises construction-and-assembling operations are underway. Among them are 34 modern refrigeratory-storage complexes, 19 grain storages, 11 grain plants, 6 livestock complexes on milk production, 4 meat processing factories, 28 poultry farms, 18 hothouse complexes, and 7 milk processing complexes.

"116.5 million manat were transferred to finance 85 projects with use of advanced technologies in 2011," Abdullayev said.

The NESF financed 27 projects worth 32.4 million manat based on introduction of new technologies in Baku and its settlements. The Fund transferred 138 million manat to finance 1643 investment projects last year. Implementation of these investment projects will contribute to creating up to 6,500 jobs.
