Life insurance share ups in Azerbaijan's total market

The life insurance market of Azerbaijan made up 10.5% of the companies’ total charges following the results of 2011. The State Insurance Supervision Service under the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry  reports that as of 1 January 2012 of insurance companies’ overall premiums amounted to AZN 212.981 million with compensation payments for AZN 61.567 million. At the same time the share of premiums on life insurance accounted for only AZN 22.55 million (compulsory insurance – AZN 18.9 million) with payments for AZN 470,010  (AZN 292,384).
