Distance education launched in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijan Bank Training Center (ABTC) is to replenish its training “arsenal” with a new instrument in 2012.

ABTC director Javanshir Abdullayev says that this year they are going to start distance education. "Its beginning has been announced by our partner. We’ll begin distance education in the first half of 2012," he said.

The ABTC Training Course Plan for 2012 was approved on 1 November 2011. At the same time the Centre transferred from annual to semiannual planning and has endorsed a plan for the first half of 2012. In this period in accord with the framework agreement with partners the ABTC offers 41 courses, and 62 courses on the open basis. In total, the Centre offers 103 training topics.

"In 2011 we organized 141 training courses, attended by 1,735 listeners. It was conducted 2,600 hours of trainings and realized 12 consulting projects,”  Abdullayev said. The ABTC has been operating for the second decade.
