Nakhichivan to be covered with digital TV broadcasting in 2012

"Works on introducing the digital broadcasting in the country are proceeding successfully. Works on installing digital TV equipment are under completion.  By February of 2012 Nakhichevan will  also be covered with digital broadcasting", said deputy minister of Communications and Information Technologies, Iltimas Mammadov.

In Baku broadcasting of ND EV and HD radio will start in the first quarter of 2012.  «İctimai» TV will probably switch to HD broadcasting", he added.   The switch from analog to digital broadcasting took place in 2009.  However test works in this direction started in Baku as far back as 2004.
