Georgia, Azerbaijan become transport and energy bridge

Georgia and Azerbaijan jointly create a regional center of the transport corridor between Asia and Europe, Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said after a meeting of the Georgian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission on Tuesday.

He said Azerbaijan and Georgia are becoming transport and energy bridge between Europe and Asia. "Our countries are becoming hub of oil and gas mains, railways, connecting Asia and Europe and it contributes to our development," he said.

Gilauri once again stressed that Georgia and Azerbaijan have very good relations.
"It is especially evident in regional projects implemented by us to improve the state of our population," he said.

Georgian Prime Minister stressed that relations between the two countries is not limited to joint projects. "We are very pleased that Azerbaijani investments in Georgia, as well as tourist flow increases ," he said.
