The high-level organization of the First European Games is the great success of Azerbaijani people, Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev said.
The First European Games kicked off in Baku June 12 and wrapped up June 28. The Games hosted 20 sports – 16 Olympic and four non-Olympic sports. Over 6,000 athletes represented the European countries at Baku 2015.
Plevneliev, who is also a member of Nizami Ganjavi International Center, took part in the closing ceremony of the First European Games in Baku June 28.
Bulgarian president met with the members of Nizami Ganjavi International Center, Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Diaspora told Trend June 30.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the Center’s activities. Plevneliev said that the 3rd Global Baku Forum organized by Nizami Ganjavi International Center in April has already turned into a world-class political gathering.
Bulgaria’s president proposed to hold the next meeting of the International Center in Sofia.
