Four Azerbaijani wrestlers will perform on the first day of the wrestling competitions within the first European Games Baku 2015, the message of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation said June 12.
Competitions on all types of wrestling will be held at the European Games. In total, winners in 24 weight categories will be defined during the Games.
Greco-Roman wrestlers will be competing during the first two days. Female wrestlers will be competing June 15-16, while freestyle wrestlers will be competing June 17-18.
Competitions in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category of 59, 71, 80 and 98 kilograms will take place June 13. The draw ceremony of wrestlers who will be competing on the first day has already been held.

Wrestling competitions within the framework of the first European Games will be held June 13-18 at the Heydar Aliyev Sports Palace. Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that took place on June 12 and will last until June 28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
