Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations issues report on rising water in rivers

Ministry of Emergency Situations issued report on rising water in the rivers as a result of intensive rainfall in some regions of Azerbaijan.

The rising water level is observed in Archivan River passing through the territory of Astara region, the ministry’s website reported. The river flooded some houses and farms in Archivan village. The rising water damaged bridges over the Veravulchay River in Osakucha village of Lankaran region. Intensive rains caused water rising in Basharuchay River in Lankaran’s Tangivan village and flooded houses and farms.

A yard of private house in Astara’s Archivan village was flooded last night. Emergency forces rescued five habitants of the house.

Forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other relevant organizations are working in the disaster areas. The level of water falls in some rivers at the moment.
