Azerbaijani judokas to vie for World Championship

On August 23-27, Paris will host the world championship in judo. The Azerbaijani Judo Federation said that 10 Azerbaijani judokas will attend the event.

The men include Ilgar Mushkiyev, Nijad Shikhalizada (both 60kg), Tarlan Karimov (66kg), Renat Mirzaliyev (73kg), Eldar Mammadli, Elkhan Rajabli (both 81kg), Elkhan Mammadov (90kg) and Elman Gasimov (100kg).

The women judokas include Kifayat Gasimova (57kg) and Ramila Yusubova (63kg). Paris will bring together totally 949 sportsmen from 136 countries.
