Coordinating Council of State Program for creation and development of space industry in Azerbaijan convenes

A meeting of the Coordinating Council of the State Program for creation and development of space industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan approved by the President of Azerbaijan on August 17, 2009 was held at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies on October 22, 2010.

The meeting was attended by the management of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and representatives from other relevant government agencies. Information on the work done over the past period in the given direction according to government program was heard, the coordination of upcoming events was discussed and relevant decisions were adopted.

Besides, a presentation on “Collision of celestial bodies with the Earth and its artificial satellites”, prepared by the experts of the National Academy of Sciences was made at the meeting.
