Famous Polish pianist to perform in Azerbaijani regions

Heydar Aliyev Foundation organizes series of events within the framework of the Year of Frederic Chopin. Famous Polish pianist Stanislaw Deja will perform concerts in the regions of Azerbaijan within the next project, the Foundation sources said.

The pianist will perform a concert in Lankaran on May 5, in Gabala on May 7. He will also give master class for the students of local music schools to teach them to play Chopin’s pieces and to learn his creative work.

The Foundation, which is supporter of classic music education, has organized Shostakovich and Rostropovich jubilee events alongside with Chopin so far. The tradition International Rostropovich festivals, Gabala International Music Festival and piano contest contribute to the forming and comprehensive development of musical taste of the young generation.
