Spanish foreign minister arrives in Baku

Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos arrived in Baku as part of a regional visit to the South Caucasus March 2.
This is his first visit to the region as a representative of the Spanish presidency of the EU.

Moratinos visited the region in 2007 as acting chairman of the OSCE. Then, the Madrid principles regarding the Karabakh conflict were crafted.

He is accompanied by a large team of specialists, including representatives of the European Commission, EU ambassador in Azerbaijan Roland Kobia said earlier.
