Khazar Ibrahim: "Statements of OSCE representative on freedom of media about the need to introduce changes to the Azerbaijani legislation contradict to his mandate"

Changes to the laws of Azerbaijan are introduced in line with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan", said spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Khazar Ibrahim commenting on the statement of the OSCE representative about the issues of freedom of media Miklos Haraszti that "there is a need to introduce changes to this law, as the population of Azerbaijan has a right to get news from these radio stations", said about the plans to halt activity of foreign radio stations in Azerbaijan.

He noted that the OSCE representative on freedom of media can not demand any changes in legislation.

"Moreover, such statements contradict to his mandate", said Ibrahim.
