Counterfeit currency exceeds $100,000 in Azerbaijan

Last year the officials of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan revealed 11 facts of coining and falsification of securities.

The due announcement was made by Azerbaijan's Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov during a collegium held today by results of 2007.

He said 9 people were brought to criminal responsibility by these facts.

132 counterfeit C-notes and 1000 banknotes of AZN 100 were confiscated in the result.
