"The activity of a single TV channel to broadcast on the territory of Turkic states and propagandize culture, has been discussed".

It is possible to say that this idea has become a reality. The issues of opportunities, main topics and language of this TV channel, have been defined after long discussions. No one is against the creation of such a channel. The issue will be fully elaborated after one of the Turkic countries or any international company undertakes the financing of the TV channel.
The due information has been provided by the head of the Center of Ataturk in Azerbaijan, deputy Nizami Jafarov. He noted that the integration process of the Turkic peoples has recently accelerated:
"Closing is easier via culture. This is a sphere where no diplomatic problems may emerge. I think the issue of the channel opening will be settled this year"
The new channel will focus on culture and history of the Turkic world, present common cultural technologies and propagandize modern culture.
Jafarov noted that the TV channel will broadcast on the single Turkic language, close to Turkish:
"The channel can be financed in two forms. Each Turkic country may allocate a definite amount or any other international company which is not indifferent to the future of the Turkic world may allocate the due funds. The deputy considers it expedient to dislocate the head office of the TV channel in Istanbul. There is also a plan to open offices in all Turkic countries.
TV reporter Mehriban Alekperzade did not confirm the information about recruitment for work at the new TV channel: "I have completed my TV activity in Azerbaijan. If I return to TV journalism, you will hear it from me first.
I also do not have any idea about the transmission of the RTR frequency to the Culture TV channel and that I have been invited to lead it".
At the same time, she noted that she refused to work only at the Azeri channels. This veto does not refer to the TV channels of other countries.
Nushirevan Magerramli, chairman of the National Television and Radio Council called the announcements of the transmission of the RTR frequencies to another channel groundless. He said such discussions are not conducted and are not planned to conduct in the near future. If Russia allows broadcasting of the Azeri channel on its territory, in Moscw, this issue of the Russian TV channel will be reviewed in Azerbaijan.
The chairman of the council also added that no appeal had been received regarding the cultural channel and no discussions are currently held on the issue.
