Business earnings to jump 50% in Azerbaijan

The amount of incomes earned by Azeri entrepreneurs totaled to AZN 4.324 billion in 2006, up 26% from the previous year.

The State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that the growth of business revenues held stable for 2000-2006.
The growth was 8.8% in 2001, 16.6% in 2002, 10.9% in 2003, 8.1% in 2004, and 6.6% in 2005. In general, the business earnings doubled during the past five years.

The government forecasts that the business incomes will grow 50% in 2007 to AZN 6.45 billion and more than double to AZN 10 billion in 2011.
