Prosecutor General demands annulment of Huseyn Abdullayev's parliamentary immunity

Parliament Disciplinary Commission today debated the March 16 incident between parliamentarians Huseyn Abdullayev and Fazail Agamali during the presentation of the annual report of the government.

The one-hour debate was held without the participation of journalists. Then the issue was discussed at the extraordinary meeting of the Parliament.

Deputy Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov read Prosecutor Zakir Garalov's demand to annul Huseyn Abdullayev's parliamentary immunity at the meeting attended 102 parliamentarians.

A criminal case has been instituted on the Criminal Code article 221.2.2, 132. Parliamentarian Abdullayev used insulting words, humiliating honor and dignity, harmed his image of deputy without observing the deputy ethics during the debate of the government's report on March 16. Despite the warning, he insulted and swore the deputies who asked him to keep up with the discipline. Then he insulted parliamentarian Agamali and assaulted at him, which interrupted the parliament's sitting for 20 minutes.

The annulment of Huseyn Abdullayev's parliamentary immunity is being discussed at the Parliament's plenary session now, APA reports.
