Azeri national squad takes 2nd place in Alma-TV Cup

Azerbaijani national football team took the 2nd place in Alma-TV Cup which took place in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.

The team beat Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in its last encounter in the tournament. Vagif Sadigov scored the only goal in 17th min of the match and his first in the national squad.

Team's Brazilian midfielder Marcus Fereyra missed penalty kick in 48th min. Head coach Shahin Diniyev fielded Jahangir Hesenzade, Sasha Yunisoglu, Ramin Guliyev, Usim Nduka, Aleksandr Chertoganov, Elmar Bakhsiyev, Ilgar Gurbanov, Rahid Emirguliyev, Vagif Javadov and Vugar Nadirov in the main staff.

Aslan Kerimov, Andre Ladaga, Branimir Subashic and Emin Imameliyev substituted Nduka, Emirguliyev, Nadirov and Gurbanov respectively in the 46th min. Leandro Gomesh replaced Fereyra in 65th min. Ferhad Veliyev and Zaur Heshimov were in substitution. Ernani Pereyra, Samir Abbasov, Jeyhun Sultanov and Kenan Kerimov were not included in the list of players.

After this victory Azerbaijani squad finished the tournament in the second place with 6 points, APA reports.
