Iranian MP demands establishing Research Center of Azerbaijani Language and Literature

Iranian MP Mahammad Huseyn Ferhengi made statement in the parliament and at the same time stressed the importance of increasing the number of programs on television and radio in Azerbaijani.

He said that he is negotiating on opening such a center in Amiral-Mominin mosque with Iranian speaker Gulameli Heddad-Adil.

The center can function as a department of Iranian Literature Academy and contribute to the strengthening of Azerbaijani language and literature, MP said.

He also noted the importance of restoring the section of Azerbaijani language and literature in Tabriz University.

MP stated that the people have cultural requirements concerning the Azerbaijani language and literature, APA reports.
