New head appointed to WHO's Baku Office

The new head of the office Kamran Garakhanov has taken up his duties since January 15. He was appointed to this post by WHO Main Office in Copenhagen. The contest on choosing the chief of the office was held in the middle of last year. 5 candidates chosen from the applicants first passed written examination, and then were interviewed.

The head of the WHO Office in Azerbaijan Ferman Abdullayev resigned at the beginning of last year. The representative of the WHO, Pavel Ursu from Moldova has been acting as the head of the office since then. Garakhanov will hold this post for two years. APA
