Office of Caucasian Muslims demands the Pope to apologize

The Office assesses the Roman Pope's statement insulting millions Muslims unacceptable, APA reports.

"This make us think that these remarks are the part of the West's recent biased attitude towards Islam. Since a supreme religious leader makes such a mistake, what can you expect others to do?" the Office underlined.

It also says that there is a respectful attitude to Catholics in most countries, including Azerbaijan.

The OIM demands Benedict to clarify his remarks unambiguously and apologize to the Islamic world.

Roman Pope linked Islam with the evil and inhuman things on Tuesday last week while visiting Regensburg University to speak to an audience of academics, intellectuals, and theologians. This caused a great fury among all Muslims.
