"Copenhagen Consensus" to be applied at national level

The Minister informed on numerous trends of state social policy in Azerbaijan, the reforms being implemented in this field, noting that poverty reduction is one of the priorities of state. The country attaches importance to progressive advanced experience in realization of the socio-economic reforms, and will study the methodology of the Copenhagen Consensus, too, he underlined.

Speaking in detail of the methodology, Mr. Bjorn Lomborg said it would promote in making decision to direct the oil profits to the development of other fields, and on base of Copenhagen Consensus, soon the Baku Consensus would be organized. And further, in the frame of cooperation with the Ministry, necessary activities will be implemented, he stressed.

Minister Fizuli Alakbarov positively estimated the idea of "Baku Consensus".
