Iran may deliver oil and gas to world market via Azerbaijan

Technical efficiency of delivery of Iranian oil through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline may be considered in near future, Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Afshar Suleymani said.

He stated that Azerbaijani delegation will shortly visit Iran to discuss a number of issues on gas importation and energy cooperation, APA reports.

"A number of projects on energy are being implemented at present. Electric energy of 200 Megawatts is being exchanged currently and the exchange will reach 700-800 Megawatts after Alibayramli-Imishli-Parsabad power line is commissioned.

"Issues concerning export of Iranian gas to Georgia and Europe through Azerbaijan will be discussed at meetings."
