2 policemen, one Azeri wounded in Moscow shootout

Two policemen and a Azeri man have been taken to hospital after being shot in an incident in eastern Moscow, police said Thursday.

Preliminary information suggests that police officers were trying to detain a group of counterfeiters from Azerbaijan, who then opened fire, Gazeta.ru reports.

"As a result two police officer received gunshot wounds as well as one of the attackers," a police source said, RIA Novosti informs.
