Rafig Aliyev: "Some Azerbaijani officials maintain contact with radical groups in mosques"

Head of the State Committee for Religious Organizations Rafig Aliyev today told journalists that some officials are engaging in politics in mosques on the pretext of worship.

"I recommend some state officials to be busy with only praying in mosques and not to be mixed up with politics and renounce from maintaining contact with radical groups," Rafig Aliyev said.

The committee chairman noted that he is aware of the activities of these officials. Refusing to announce their names, Rafig Aliyev said these officials have been warned against that, APA reports.
