You all made a mistake, Pashinyan is not a taxi driver, but a trader!

23 November 2024 [14:00] - TODAY.AZ

Yesterday's interview with Nikol Pashinyan revealed how wrong we were about him. All the entourage, the caps, the glasses, the strange look we thought it was the image of a taxi driver, but no!

In fact, Pashinyan, in his new image, doesn’t come across as someone hiding from a bomb, but as an independent, mature politician with the tactics of a bazaar huckster. At least in this interview, "Vovaevich" (Pashinyan) laid out his goods on the counter and announced what he intends to trade with Baku in peace negotiations.

"Yerevan has offered Baku an agreement to withdraw the EU mission from the sections of the border where delimitation has already taken place," he said.

The EU mission, we recall, consists of intelligence officers and other special services from several countries who periodically carry out unclear monitoring along the Armenian side of the border. Its presence has raised serious concerns in Baku, and Pashinyan is clearly hinting that he’s ready to remove them but, of course, in exchange for something.

Naturally, immediately after such an announcement, Pashinyan began to praise the potential "buyer" at length, going on about progress and positive developments in the negotiations. Can you feel the vibe when someone tries to sell you apricots? That’s exactly how Pashinyan behaved.

Like any bazaar trader, Pashinyan forgets one very important thing: the trader always thinks he’s the cleverest and most intelligent  but doesn’t realize that there are "adults" on the other side of his counter. No one will bargain with him, and it seems that this will come as a big, unpleasant surprise for him.
