ICESCO General Director arrives in Azerbaijan for COP29

On November 9, Salim bin Muhammad Al-Malik, the General Director of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

According to Azernews, Al-Malik was welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Murad Huseynov, along with other officials.

His visit underscores ICESCO's commitment to supporting global climate initiatives and fostering collaboration on environmental issues.
