Cultural Diversity holiday has been celebrated at the international school in Almere, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Azernews reports.
Students and teachers of the international school from different nations presented their national cultures.
On the Cultural Diversity holiday, the Azerbaijani national stand was organized on the initiative of Nazakat Rahimli and Natella Mehdiyeva, the Azerbaijani teachers working in this school, and with the support of Motherland European Azerbaijani Women's Association.
Books about the Azerbaijani culture and history, national musical instruments and traditional gowns were displayed at the national stand.
Within the framework of the event, students from the participating countries presented dances and music of their countries in national costumes.
The visitors also tasted the national cuisine of Azerbaijan as well as other countries.
Azerbaijan's stand, as well as its cuisine, were welcomed by visitors.
The organizer of the event, Jose Zuniga, shared his thoughts on the "Cultural Diversity" holiday and said that such a display of different cultures contributes to mutual recognition of national cultures, as well as respect for different cultures.
Such events enable students to form their world view and prepare them to become global citizens. Students and parents expressed their satisfaction with the event.
The event, which continued with the presentation of the cultures of different nations, clearly showed once again how important cultural diversity and inclusion are in schools.
