Media and NGO representatives to visit Hungary

A group of local TV heads, NGOs, and the Press Council of Azerbaijan will visit this country, ANS reports.

After the injustice occurred in a court session of Ramil Safarov, who is accused in assassination of Armenian officer Gurgen Markaryan, a group of local TV heads, NGOs, and the Press Council of Azerbaijan has decided to visit Hungary in recent days, told Ganira Pashaeva, a member of Milli Majlis, after negotiations with the Group members. Ganira Pashaeva said that the visit will be of an acquaintance character. “There will be meetings there. The Group members will get acquainted with Hungarian authorities, and community. Afterwards, a group of Hungarian experts will be invited to Azerbaijan.”

According to Ganira Pashaeva and the president of NGOs Forum Azay Guliev consider that Azeri Mass Media and NGOs have decided to make an indirect influence on the Hungarian community. Ganira Pashaeva says another issue set before the Panel is holding monitoring in Hungarian Mass Media. “This monitoring will be very important for Azerbaijan.” After Baskut Androsha, the Judge of Budapest Court, refused to consider the third testimonial of experts a discontent was born in the Azeri society, and beyond that the Appeal adopted by Azeri Mass Media and NGOs representatives was translated into English and sent to the Judge of Budapest Court, and to above 3 thousand NGOs and Mass Media of Hungary.

Meanwhile, local TV heads also make proposals on the issue. “Journalists should get in touch with their Hungarian colleagues and send them information related to Azerbaijan,” said Vahid Mustafaev, president of ANS Group of Companies. Other proposals were also made on the issue.
