Opposition will hold unsanctioned rally in case Baku Mayor Office proposes them "Motodrom" instead of Gelebe square

15 December 2005 [18:20] - TODAY.AZ
The leaders of "Azadlig" bloc, National Union Movement and National Independence Party held a sitting in the headquarters of Musavat Party yesterday.

The leaders exchanged views on the preparation to the rally of the opposition fixed to 18 December and it was determined to hold unsanctioned rally if the Mayor’s Office does not sanction the rally or suggests "Motodrom" instead of "Gelebe" square.

Isa Gambar said that the opposition did not decide yet on a place of the rally. He reminded that they appealed to courts complaining of the Executive Power of Baku, which did not authorize the rallies. Gambar stated that they will continue taking actions calling to annull the results of the 6 November parliamentary elections.

Responding to the question of APA whether Musavat Party will participate in the re-elections, Gambar noted that it is early to decide about it:"This issue is not actual at present. There is much time to think it over. We do not discuss the matter officially for the time being. The re-elections will be held on May 13. So, there is no need to make haste".
