Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan leaves for Strasbourg to start negotiations with EU

"This offer was advanced by the Troika of the European Union during their visit in Azerbaijan late in October. I will participate in the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on November 16-17 and deliver a speech in the political committee," said Mammadyarov.

The Minister also noted that the Commissar on Foreign Affairs and European Neighborhood Policy of the European Commission Benita Ferrero-Waldner will also participate at the meeting. "It is possible that we will negotiate with her in Strasbourg, or maybe that I will visit Brussels for those negotiations," said Mammadyarov.

It should be noted that it is expected that negotiations of Azerbaijan with the European Union on the European neighborhood policy will be resumed.
