As Trend reports, the President noted that Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova are subjected to aggressive separatism and the current meeting was the first similar event of the GUAM held in Baku.

The significance of the GUAM grows even more. The organization has expanded its activities recently, Aliyev underlined. He appreciated the meeting of the GUAM countries Presidents in Chisinau.

According to Aliyev, all structures of the GUAM closely cooperate and it is important to set up the relations between frontier departments. Interaction between frontier services is of great importance in the period of new threats such as terrorism and illegal drug traffic, the President stressed.

In his turn, Nikolay Litvin, the head of the Ukrainian State Frontier Service, thanked Azerbaijani President for warm reception and said that the goal of the meeting was implementation of the proposals forwarded during the Summit of the GUAM countries Presidents in Chisinau.
