Azeri NGO will not be checked by Ministry of Justice

He noted that the Justice Ministry and the Prosecutor's Office do not intend to carry out such measures.

Along with this, Mammadov underlines, it does not mean that the NGOs activities must not be controlled. The JM has been empowered certain authorities for that. The JM informs regularly the public on measures, taken by this body in this field. Attaching to these measures mass campaign character is groundless and aimed at generating public excitement.

I consider the activities of some NGOs contradict their Charter's aim, there is no transparency and there are other problems in their activities, some of the NGOs became politicized, Mammadov noted. These problems must be solved. The NGO must coordinate their activities with public interests and it means, mainly, the assistance in solution of social problems, Mammadov said.
