Baku displays traditions and culture of 150 counties

The second day of the 41st World Scout Conference running in Baku saw a big exhibition dedicated to culture and traditions of the participating countries.

The event started with presentation of the national cuisine of 150 participating countries. Later, guests familiarized with cultural samples of the nations.

The national dances and incredible performances added a special color for the night, Azertac reported.

The Conference, which is organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and hosted by the Azerbaijan Scout Association, with the support of the Youth and Sport Ministry of Azerbaijan, will be held at the Baku Congress Centre until August 18, 2017.

The WOSM is the largest international Scouting organization, attracting millions of young people who become active citizens, creating positive changes in the societies in which they live.

The WOSM has 166 members- national scout organizations, which collectively have over 40 million participants.

The Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan is the national Scouting organization of Azerbaijan and was founded in 1997, and became the member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement on August 20, 2000.
