Azerbaijani dancers successfully perform in Georgia

Azerbaijani dancers successfully performed at the Caucasian Championship, held in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The competition brought together dancers from Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.

Dancers competed in different age categories and styles, including folk, cheerleading, pop dance, hip-hop, oriental, bollywood and others.

Azerbaijan’s Rasul Hasanov became the champion in hip-hop among adults for  the third time, Trend Life reported.

The team "Fire and light show Baku", including Alexander Barkov, Svetlana Barkova, Elman Melikov and Egor Anisimov was highly successful. The dance team surprised the audience with a laser show.

The team was awarded the first place and was invited to perform in the gala concert for the government of Tbilisi.

Alexander Barkov and Svetlana Barkova were named best in latino dance completions, while Nigar Safarova, dancer soloist of "Ugur" ranked first in the folk and bollywood dance completions at age group of 9-11 years.

The second place went to duo "Legend". "The Legend dance studio", led by Egor Anisimov  gained victory in pop dance competition.

Aziz Azizov, president of Azerbaijan's Dance Association said that preparations for Azerbaijan Open Dance Championship are currently underway. 

The championship will be held in Baku on April 22.
