Azerbaijan's President receives credentials of Belgian new ambassador

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today newly appointed Ambassador of Belgium, Luc Trojen. The Ambassador passed along the guard of honor. He presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev. Then, President of Azerbaijan held a conversation with Ambassador.

The President highlighted successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium. The Head of State noted new cooperation opportunities existed in the economic field. He expressed hope for establishment of more active economic ties in the coming years. President Ilham Aliyev expressed assurance that the ambassador would contribute to developing bilateral ties.

Trojen conveyed the greetings of Belgium's King II Albert to President Ilham Aliyev. He pointed out there were opportunities to further deepen bilateral relations, which rest on mutually effective cooperation.

The Azerbaijani President asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings to the King of Belgium, as well.
