“We have registered more than 4500 missing persons in Azerbaijan and Armenia from the beginning of Nagorno Karabakh conflict till the present day”, said regional representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Baku office Apure Oguya.

According to him, this list often changes and it is prepared on the information given by missing persons.

“Most of them are soldiers. But the number of the State Commission for Captives, Hostages and Missing People is bigger than ours. Now, this difference considerably decreased because of the committee’s work with State Commission. We hope that the difference in our lists will be eliminated soon."

According to recent reports, Oguya said that the difference between the list of ICRC and Azerbaijan State Commission for Captives, Hostages and Missing People is about 200-300 people.
