
In 2009, Azerbaijan spent 310 million manat to solve social problems of refugees and IDPs, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said at a press conference on Friday.
"The state budget allocated about 193 million manat, the State Oil Fund 90 million manat and the international humanitarian organizations 27 million manat," Hasanov said.
During the report period, 1,416 families were resettled in new flats. The committee repaired 50 buildings. In 2009, 2,000 refugees and IDPs were provided with jobs, he added.
"In 2010, 310 million manat was allocated to solve the social problems of refugees and IDPs. The state budget allocated about 203 million manat, the State Oil Fund 80 million manat and the international humanitarian organizations 27 million manat," Hasanov said.
According to him, the country is expected to construct new houses for 689 families, which are residents of the Agdam region.
