Presidential Administration official: President Aliyev's family members have rights to owning property

Ali Hasanov, head of the Presidential Administration's Department for Social and Political Affairs, said that none of the laws bans members of the president's family, full aged children and relatives to be engaged in business or commercial activities.

Hasanov was commenting on article published in the Washington Post newspaper on March 5.

"There is nothing unusual that members of his family and relations, like all Azerbaijani citizens, own a property. It is necessary to take into account the fact that one of the President's daughters is a daughter-in-law of a rich family," Hasanov underscored.
