We are confident our party will win with great majority in current municipal elections, too: Azerbaijani ruling party official

“Ruling  New Azerbaijan Party has nominated candidates in all election districts for municipal elections,” member of Azerbaijani parliament and member of NAP Political Council Musa Guliyev said.

“Our party has nominated 16,000 candidates. One third of them are new candidate and two-third is experienced candidates. Preference is given to women and youth among the new candidates,” he said.

 “We are confident that our party will win with great majority of votes in the current municipal elections, as it did in previous elections and NAP members will make efforts to improve work of  municipalities in the coming five years,” he said.

We give a number of advises to our candidates, explaining to them how to participate in municipal elections, to stage election campaign, to work with with constituents,” NAP official said.

Azerbaijan will hold municipal elections on Dec. 23. The candidates will contest 15,682 places in 1,718 municipalities.
