Canada hosts scientific conference "Azerbaijan in Geopolitical Context of Caspian Sea"

A scientific conference entitled “Azerbaijan in Geopolitical Context of the Caspian Sea”  was held in Ottawa, the capital of Canada on Nov. 12.

According to Azerbaijan`s embassy, the conference agenda included discussions on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Turkish-Armenian rapprochement, energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and European countries and security in the region.

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to the country Farid Shafiyev said “the issues included in the agenda of the conference were very important for the region”.

Representatives of the Canadian Foreign Ministry, members of the Cabinet of Ministries and the Azerbaijan community in the country were present at the event.
