“We have called on our party representatives in country’s regions to take part in the upcoming municipal elections individually,” Azerbaijan Citizens and Development Party Chairman Ali Aliyev said.
ACDP is a member of opposition Azadlig bloc.
He said ther parties included in the Azadlig bloc have adopted the same decision.
The party will nominate candidates till Nov. 13 and will later launch election campaign, he added.
"It is too early to talk about number of our candidates who will participate in the elections individually. I have already visited several regions, met with candidates from our party. I saw that they are not keen on participating in the elections. We encourage our representatives to take part in elections. This is necessary because there is no other way of struggle,” Aliyev said.
“Our candidates in Baku include youth and women. Majority of our candidates in rural areas are men,” he said.
