Azerbaijani president congratulates Angela Merkel on re-election

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent a message of congratulation to the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel on re-election on Oct. 30.

The message reads:

“Mrs. Federal Chancellor

I congratulate you sincerely on re-election as Federal Chancellor of the Federative Republic of Germany.

I hope we will continue consistent mutual efforts aimed comprehensive development of relations between Azerbaijan Republic and Federal Republic of Germany, strengthening and expansion of our friendship and cooperation.

I wish you robust health, happiness and success in activities for the sake of interests of friendly people of Germany,” the message says.

Angela Merkel was re-elected Chancellor of Germany by Bundestag on Oct. 28.
